Time and Place: August. Afternoon. Chicago.
The Plan: Take a bouquet of flowers and walk through downtown Chicago. Compliment the women passing by and give them each a flower.
The Result: The majority of women were very receptive to the compliments and flowers, often looking surprised, excited or saying thank you. A few women were hesitant (or suspicious) to take the flower and just walked away or said "no thanks".
Summary: Great success! Seemed to have definitely brightened some people's day, got a lot of smiles. Minimal effort, wonderful result. Even if the compliments are all superficially based because they are strangers, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Women: get out there and compliment some strangers! We should all be supporting each other. A little positivity goes a long way.
